PTV, Pakistan Television Corporation, a state-run broadcaster of Pakistan. The Pakistan Television Corporation (abbreviated as PTV) is Pakistan’s national television broadcaster. The first live transmission of PTV began on November 26, 1964, in Lahore. As of 2011, the PTV family includes more than six tv channels. This Channel is available only in Pakistan but people outside Pakistan can watch it using dish antenna.
Pakistan entered into Television Broadcasting age with a small pilot TV Station established at Lahore from where transmission was first beamed in Black & White with effect from 26 November 1964. Television centers were established in Karachi and Rawalpindi/Islamabad in 1967 and in Peshawar and Quetta in 1974. Now there are more tv stations in different cities of Pakistan from where local languages channels are broadcasting.
